Data-Driven Strategies for Informing Interventions and Assessing Outcomes to Promote the Educational Development of Children with Significant Medical and Mental Health Needs
Overview

It is important to use data-driven strategies to assess the needs of youth with medical and mental health needs to deliver the most beneficial interventions possible. This roundtable discussion will review tools and tips for using data to guide interventions and assess progress, and will also invite participants to share their own tips and tools. Professionals engaged in this work can learn from one another’s experiences to more effectively use data-driven strategies in their settings.

JENNIFER LINDWALL, PHD University of Colorado/Children’s Hospital Colorado

Jennifer Lindwall, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Colorado, and a licensed clinical psychologist at Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO). She is the lead psychologist in a multidisciplinary school/treatment program for youth with significant medical diagnoses, where she provides psychosocial support and leads program evaluation and program development efforts. She is also the lead psychologist in a multidisciplinary clinic for youth with multiple sclerosis. Dr. Lindwall also serves as a Co-Investigator for a research investigation examining the impact of a tele-coaching intervention to promote adherence in youth with cystic fibrosis.
